Lady Anne Blunt, A
Biography
By HVF Winstone |
|
| |
.JPG) |
This landmark book from Barzan Publishing, written by noted
biographer HVF Winstone, is the first biography of Lady Anne Blunt –
a truly fascinating woman of the Victorian era, and a renowned
scholar, adventurer, artist, writer, and horse breeder. In the world
of Arabian horses, no person in recent history has had a greater
impact on the breed. Almost all bloodline groups in the world,
including the Straight Egyptian, owe an incalculable debt of
gratitude to Lady Anne for her dedication to the breeding and
preservation of the purebred Arabian.
|
|
| |
Drawing extensively from her unpublished diaries and letters, this
biography provides a “poignant and illuminating portrait of a
talented, determined and visionary woman.” Even those familiar with
the Crabbet Stud and the books and diaries of Lady Anne will be
captivated by her story, including the many challenges she faced in
her personal life, and her perseverance in achieving her goals.
